Welcome to the Vermont blogosphere

I've gotten a bunch of emails alerting me to new Vermont blogs. Here's a list:

49 School Street: A new Blogger-hosted site by the staff of the Stowe Reporter. This weekly newspaper has also created reader forums. Will they launch more blogs? A "blogs" tab on their homepage menu suggests they might.

Artwhirled: Blogging the arts in and around downtown Montpelier. Written by someone named Robyn, though I can't for the life of me find a last name on this site. So Robyn remains mostly anonymous. By choice? Not sure. Looks like Robyn is organizing a really cool art thingy called RAGE. Read the blog for more info.

Denise Martine: "Poetry. Tarot. Astrology. Craft. Ritual... and whatever else I feel like writing about." This is Michael Martine's wife. He calls her "the high priestess of Montpelier." Hmmm.

Ed's Wasted Life: Blog by Ed Lucas. His tags include politics, animals, vegan, music, web development.

Brown Mama White Baby: My friend Ita started this site. She's from Guam. Her partner is pregnant, and they got the sperm from a white donor. I hope she keeps up with this blog. I know it'll be tough when they've got a screaming infant.

In her first post, she writes:

You hear it everywhere, you probably even think it. I know I do. How is it that a white person can have a baby that is a person of color, but a POC can't seem to have a white baby? Maybe that'll change. My partner is due April 5th 2006 - when I will become a brown mama to a white baby.

Did I miss anybody?

UPDATE: What about Newsache? It's a mostly political lefty blog by MG and JG. Lots of Scudder praise.
