Same-Sex Marriage Bill Goes to the Senate

Hearing The same-sex marriage bill is headed to the Vermont Senate. The Senate Judiciary Committee voted unanimously today — 5 to 0 — to advance the bill out of committee.

Vermont Freedom to Marry is urging supporters to call their senators, and be present when the Senate debates and votes on the bill. That's expected to happen on Monday at 3 p.m.

I don't think I'll make it to Montpelier, sadly, as I have to pick up my kids from daycare at 5. Yes, the life of a lesbian parent is much the same as the life of a straight parent.

Here's a video (and a photo, right) from the hearing the other night, in case you missed it.
