What will you be doing tonight at 1:08 a.m.?

Thanks to Kevin J. Kelly, I know what I'll be doing. In this week's issue of Seven Days, Kelly dutifully reports on the annual Synchronized Global Orgasm for Peace (hey, it's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it). At precisely 1:08 a.m. EST on December 22 (the winter solstice), people all over the world will get off for world peace — and far be it from me to mess up this global awareness campaign. Wherever I am — downtown, in the my car, in my bed, whatever — I plan to stop and do my part.

If you'll be diddling away for peace solo, feel free to scream out my name — though, "Ghandi," "Clinton-Obama" or "John Lennon" might be better choices in this instance.

Have you done your part for world peace? If not, here's your chance. Today is Global Orgasm Day, and people all around the world are getting off for peace. The founders of Global Orgasm Day wish to see if we can affect change by turning the peace and warmth of orgasm into conscious intent.
