Connect-the-dots.
I've got a birthday coming up!
When we go to CA, we'll be driving up to San Francisco from L.A. We're thinking of stopping by Hearst Castle, which inspired the "Xanadu" compound in Citizen Kane.
In that spirit, check out "The Fall of the House of Usher: Prelude" From The Alan Parsons Project's ridiculous Edgar Alan Poe-themed album.
Orson Welles is on it!

alan parsons man, thats pushing it.
haha.
actually i really love that song 'eye in the sky' by him.
i was working on a cover of it for awhile, but kinda ditched it.

You gotta ressrurect that shit, yo!
I was thinking of doing Neil Diamond's "Turn on Your Heart Light." You know, the one he sang for E.T.?
And by "for" I mean the little alien himself, not the movie.
I smell a dual CD single. Or maybe that's just the cheese.

Hearst Castle is pretty fucking amazing. Was there when i was 12 or 13, so maybe it seemed grander than it is, but i don't think so. The indoor pool beneath the house, with waterfalls and gi-fucking-normous hand-made mosaics, not to mention the 15 minute ride up the driveway to the place, will blow you away....or breeze lightly upon thee.

Hey, my birthday is a week from today! When's yours? Dude... are we both Tauruses? *wags the 'horns' hand signal*
We should totally throw surprise parties for each other. For my birthday present, will you dress up like Jack White? Ever since I saw him on Charlie Rose I think you two were separated at birth.
