welcome, gentle readers
This is my first post on the 7d version of 802 Online. Blogging from a coffeeshop in downtown Burlington that supposedly doesn't offer wi-fi. Wouldn't even be here, but Speeder's on Pine Street closes at 5:30. Alas.
Welcome to my new and improved site, here in professional journalist land. Not that I'm, uh, getting paid, exactly. But hey, things change fast here in the blogosphere, right?
UPDATE: 7D started paying me to blog on May 18, 2005.

Yeah, I love Speeders, but they do close awfully early. It seems like everything in the South End closes early. I wonder how well a later-night business would do there? Maybe they should add a wi-fi cafe at Kerry's Kwik Stop? Talk about a culture clash...

Congrats on becoming the first official j-blogger of the new 7Days blog(s) Cathy. It is quite an impressive blog, especially considering that it is a only just a start up! Well done 7Days!
Very shortly I will be updating my blogroll accordingly.

While I understand that the blog is a first and only barely got put up, so there is still some fine tuning to be done I am sure, one thing I just noticed that you might want to let 7Days art director/webmaster Don Eggert be aware of is that the "visited links" seem to be disappearing off the blog within the right-hand column unless one thinks to hover over the blank spots; so a color code change may be in order for the blog's "visited links".

Yeah, I figured that out the other day, and he's working on it. Thanks, Morgan. We're working on the little error message thingy on the bottom of the sidebar, too. Like I said, a work in progress.
