Happy 1st anniversary, 802

How time flies.

Last week was my first blogiversary — as an official, Seven Days blog, anyway — and I was so busy reporting my stories for this week that I missed it. Then I celebrated by spending the weekend offline, visiting with friends, talking with my partner and playing with my adorable and constantly changing son.

So here we are. What a year it's been. I started off with a handful of Vermont blogs on my blogroll, and just 500 or so visits in the first month. Now I'm listing more than 160 Vermont blogs (more on the way, I promise). Last month, 802 drew about 3500 visitors. That's down from a high of 5500 in March, but, hey, I went on vacation for a week. And it's not every month that I unmask a plagiarist.

Thanks for sticking with me, and for sending me all those tips. I intend to keep up my end of this conversation, even if I do take occasional breaks for babysitting and picnics at Colchester Pond.

Congrats. My blog actually has the same anniversary as well. It was the last week of April 2005 for me. Thanks for linking me.

Congratulations and happy anniversary Cathy/802online!

Your blog is a success because you are honest, calm, professional and you fill a big gap in our local reporting. Your efforts to bridge the personal and our community with what is happening regionally, nationally, globally, etc. are much appreciated! Keep on keeping on, as it were.

Happy Birthday, and nice blog. I was never much of a stat monger, but since I started blogging I have found myself checking my statistics daily. It's actually pretty cool to see who is visiting, and from where.
