Best Vermont Blog Daysie
And the winner is... going to be announced in the paper August 2nd, along with all the rest of the Daysie winners! I'll also make the announcement here on my blog. Sorry for the interminable delay, but I want to keep the blog award consistent with all the other stuff.
I tallied the votes last week. More than 300 people cast ballots, which is way more than last year — not surprising, considering the growth of the Vermont blogosphere. And considering so many people plugged it on their sites.
So mark your calendars. August 2 it is.

300, huh? Well, I couldnt get my folks effectively stirred (hey, I tried!) so I'm gonna guess that the winner will be iBrattleboro, or possibly Vermont Daily Briefing.
Should we start a pool?

Wrong! Despite the irony of Communist China's protestations last week at the UN, that those in the running for 'best blog daysie' should not be counting the votes, I predict they will not protest when, for the second year in a row, Candleblog wins it by a nose! Bye-Bye!

Ahh Cathy, you stink. Teasing us like that.

Haik! Look, you're back commenting on my blog!
Though I didn't specifically prohibit people from voting for 802 online, I didn't promote myself as a candidate. So technically, yes, I was "in the running" for a daysie, but I probably wouldn't have accepted it if I had won. Maybe I'll make that clearer next year.
Not that I had anything to worry about. I think I managed to get 2 votes, neither of them mine.
I wouldn't turn down a press association award for my work, though...

It's gotta be Candleblog. Keep the streak alive (or at least start a streak).
Will you post all of the results for votes down to the last one? If will be fun to see if we got any votes. Then we can thank our parents for our two votes.

Possibly. I have to talk with web guy Don about it. If I can't post a link, I'll post a tally.

Don't count Ibrattleboro out. I "heard" they got out the vote!
Then again, my information could be dead wrong. So take it with a grain of salt.
Good luck to all.

My money is on PoliticsVT. They are leaving the blogsphere in '07 and they have done a heck of a job in the last two years. They deserve it. Even Baruth told people that if they don't like the liberal leaning of his blog that they should vote for politicsvt.
I hope they get it. It would be a nice send off.
