Vermont Blog Roundup

Mayday This week in the Vermont blogosphere:

• Happy May Day, from Jeff Gauthier at Midnight and Modern Conversation. That's his photo of the Labor Hall in Barre at right. His bird photos are awesome, too.

• You know that big auto emissions case that's been going on in Burlington? Where the auto companies are complaining that new, stricter emissions guidelines will bankrupt them? How much you want to bet that this knitter blogger is the court recorder? She got a little tipsy last night and blogged about the difficulties of transcribing the mind-numbingly dull scientific jargon. Says Norma, "best word to have in my steno dictionary in order to impress unknown attorneys:  'stoichiometric.'"

• This is actually from a couple weeks ago, but I've been too busy to post it. Charity Tensel has decided it's time to shut down her conservative political blog, She's Right. Actually, God told her to stop posting. Whatever. I'm sorry to see her bow out. Here's her new non-political blog, All Things Hold Together.

• The Sisters LeMay gettin' frisky with Kevin the hot dog man.

• Need a virtual assistant? Do you even know what a virtual assistant is? I didn't, actually, until I read this blog post from Ann Zuccardy of Vermont Shortbread. She interviews Sharon Williams, the 24 hour secretary.

• A debaucherous, naughty night on Church Street, from My Innermost Thoughts Gone Public.

• Moose by Bailey Pond! From The Vermont Gardener.

• A Republican rep explains why he voted against impeachment.

What Needs to Stop in Horror Movies, from Matty the Greek of Diabologue, our resident Satanist. Sample: "6) PALE CREEPY ASIAN GIRLS WITH LONG WET BLACK HAIR! Yeah, we got it. Spooky, spooky, spooky. Now knock it off. Korea, please save us!"

•  Samuri Cthulu pollutes and is illegal, according to Rob at Found Drama.
