Which Dyke To Watch Out For are you?
I'm a long-time fan of Bolton resident Alison Bechdel's comic strip Dykes to Watch Out For, (I'm also Alison's former assistant). I read her blog regularly, and just came across this clever quiz. Which Dyke are you?
You don't actually have to be gay to take the test. In fact, it has very little to do with being gay. And I have to say, it's pretty much accurate. I've always thought I was more Stuart than Mo. And like Clarice, my hairstyle has not changed much in a decade...

You scored as Clarice You are Clarice, a driven, liberal, workaholic lawyer. The Bush Administration has caused you a lot of anxiety lately. You have orders to cut one volunteer commitment and spend more time playing GTA3 with your son Raffi.

"Blogging is one of my favorite hobbies." Cathy, I'm curious to know whether you strongly agree because of, y'know, what you do, or you strongly disagreed because, "'Hobby'? Pffft. Try 'Job'." [;-)]

That is a serious emoticon there. What does it mean?
Actually, blogging is not one of my favorite hobbies. I feel a little weird admitting this on a blog. If it wasn't part of my job, I probably wouldn't do it, because I don't know when I'd find time.
Scrabble is really my favorite hobby, but I don't have time to play. At one point, my partner pretty much stopped playing Scrabble with me because I joined a club, and played in tournaments, and got too competitive for her. She recently agreed to play again because I've grown so rusty.
Though I admit, the other night, she was too tired to play, so I played a game against myself!
But in general, at this point in my life, I don't have much time for hobbies.

OK, so blogging nay, Scrabble yay. You probably already know about The Elusive QUETZAL, a Scrabble-geek blog by a vegetarian librarian (What else?) from Louisiana.
Re [;-)], it's just the winking smiley. I like to put emoticons in brackets to differentiate them from regular punctuation. It'll never catch on, but it works for me.
