UVM's TREK [93]

Trek118/23/08: They're baaaaack! 

First year UVM students arrive one week early to participate in leadership, community and wilderness TREKs lead by UVM upperclassmen. 

Trekkies are kept busy exploring Vermont, enriching their new community and making friends for life.  There is little time left over for homesickness as students embark on their new adventures.

Seven Daysies 2008 [92]

Daysies_6 8/8/08: The 6th annual Seven Daysies awards is a chance for Seven Days readers to recognize the best and the brightest local restaurants, businesses, artists, blogs and activities.

This year Daysies winners partied at the Echo Center alongside the Green Mountain Derby Dames and Spielpalast Cabaret.

Peter Freyne [91]

Freyne2_2 8/3/08: Love him or hate him, Peter Freyne has been Vermont's most renowned political journalist for over 20 years.

Freyne recently retired his Seven Days column, "Inside Track" and Eva caught up with him to have a look back at his legacy with some old friends.
