Camp Outright [321]

8/22/13: The 3rd Annual Camp Outright is organized by Outright Vermont in partnership with the Common Ground Center in Starksboro. Open to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and allied (LGBTQQA) youth, there are traditional summer camp activities with a queer twist. Eva visits for the afternoon to meet some of the campers.

Bread & Puppet Turns 50 [320]

8/18/13: Bread & Puppet Theater celebrates their 50 year anniversary this summer in Glover. Eva attended the Total This and That Circus in Two Parts on Sunday to meet some of the artists and activists.

Warren Pieces [319]

7/25/13: After Hurricane Irene hit the Mad River Valley in 2011, Matt Groom and Whitney Phillips met while fixing the flood damaged woodwork in Warren's Pitcher Inn. Dismayed by the amount of wood waste post-flood, the two formed Warren Pieces, using recycled wood to make unique skateboards and longboards. They call it "art you can ride" and Eva got a tour of their shop and a skateboarding lesson.
