Shirley & Champ [322]

8/29/13: Shirley Chevalier is not your average great-grandmother. At 71 years of age, she has been piloting single engine airplanes for 3 decades. And in 2004, she started FliRite Aviation and added aerial photography to her bag of tricks. Not only does she fly the plane, but she takes photos too. Chevalier sells the images to local clients who appreciate her unique perspective.

Eva joins Shirley and her fully restored 1959 Champion (affectionately known as "Champ") for a flight from Burlington International Airport to Basin Harbor Club in Vergennes. Between them, they had four cameras crammed into the two-seater plane.

Music: Missy Bly, MB3, "Afraid to Fly"

La Strada, "Flying"
